The choir is occasionally asked to sing for weddings and will, if possible, supply a balanced group of singers to lead the hymns and sing during the signing of the register and at the beginning/end of the ceremony as required.


Chanticleer Singers has a repertoire which includes many suitable pieces and can offer suggestions and try to accommodate particular requests.

We are delighted to welcome Nigel Perrin to lead this Come and Sing day.  A founder member of the King’s Singers, and currently the Director of Bath Bach Choir and Exeter Festival Chorus, Nigel is an inspirational choral director and teacher, who has been described as “a cross between Mick Jagger and Harry Christophers!”

For many the Chanticleer carol concerts mark the beginning of the Christmas celebrations.

The performance will include a mix of traditional carols, Christmas music and readings, all

in the magical candlelit setting of the historic St. Mary’s Priory Church in Old Malton

The Baroque period is a time when a highly ornate style of architecture, art and music flourished in Europe, from the early 17th until the mid-18th century.  Included in the programme are Dixit Dominus by George Frideric Handel and Komm Jesu Komm by Johann Sebastian Bach, two of the greatest choral gems from the late Baroque
